Mastercard operates the CQM System as one element to manage the quality of products and components of Mastercard branded cardholder devices.

Uwe Trüggelmann, TruCert's CEO, being the original developer of the CQM System, operates various roles within CQM:

• Maintains the CQM Requirements document, the CQM Assessment Plan, and the Remote Assessment System
• Works as a CQM Auditor, primarily in the Americas and East Asia
• Maintains and provides to CQM Vendors and CQM Auditors the CQM Tools as a free service to the industry
